Everything is very clean, the staff members are very helpful (they arranged ferry tickets for us and drove us to the harbor for a small fee). There is free internet in the room. You can walk to the ocean, it's only a few hundred meters. Convenience stores are nearby. Comfortable beds.
The room was quite small, but it was no real problem.

The staff was amazingly accommodating; not only did an employee with an excellent command of English drive us to the ferry for cheaper than a taxi, he came in with us to negotiate in Chinese, then drove us to an atm when we discovered we were short and they didn't take cards. (Note to travelers headed for Green Island: bring plenty of cash with you! About 1000nt roundtrip, and the local atm, which is a good ways off, accepts only local cards.) The hotel is just a few blocks from a great night market, and its location lets you get a real taste of non- Taipei Taiwan.

This hotel is very well located in the heart of the city and is just a stone’s throw from the famous night market. The cleanliness and facilities of the hotel are impressive with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Additionally, transportation to the train station is provided by the hotel, and it's easy to take day trips to the nearby attractions by bus, with the bus station located nearby. The staff are very friendly, and the breakfast is good too.
Nothing to mention.

Ease of travel on foot within the town and bus station. The hotel staff is also friendly and helpful with information. Also, free use of bicycle, one can easily cycle to the nearby coastal areas, parks, shops, eateries etc. Taitaung city is a cosy small town, if one takes time to explore, one will chance upon interesting cafes and eateries. Is so convenient and Taitung people are friendly and nice.
Not just Taitung per se, I supposed is a general problem in Taiwan. Scooters and drivers do not give way nor watch out pedestrians. Worst of all, scooters are allowed free parking almost anywhere, that makes walking along pavements very inconvenient, most of the time, one has to walk along the road when doing window shopping as pavement is cluttered with scooters...this makes touring/ travelling very unpleasant and dangerous. This problem is even more acute in Tainan, is a pity that such a quaint and historic city - moving around for tourists is a great pain and poses lots of unpleasantness.

The hotel was fine for a 3 star hotel, but the price was very good. It located in the city center which was very convenient for shopping and food.

Great location for exploring the area, with a popular night market and bus station nearby for easy day trips to attractions. Rooms are spacious and come with hot water, comfy beds, and cable TV.
The WiFi is unreliable and mosquitoes might bother some guests during warm months.

The hotel is located close to popular food stalls and a bustling market street. The morning staff offered great advice on shortcuts and travel recommendations. The hotel provides free bikes for exploring the area.
The cleanliness of the room and bathroom could have been better. The pillowcases were not very clean and the shower curtain had a bit of mold. The bike quality wasn't great.
